The date is 10/3/2012 meaning it's October. The weather outside is not yet frightful and a fire would be nice, if it got cold outside, but hey who's complaining? October is the month of caramel. So as an old time favorite, we are doing Caramel Apples.
To start unwrap all of your caramel candies and place them on stove, heat until melted. While that's happening cut your apples into slices using a knife or apple slicer!
Next line your working space with wax paper and start working. use a fork to pierce an apple wedge and either dunk it into the melted caramel or get your fork into that carmel and drizzle it all over the apples. Place apples on wax paper.
Now we wait 5 minutes for the caramel to get slightly harder on the apples....ugh.... no worries though there is something for you to do!!! Quickly now! Back to the stove!
Empty the bag of chocolate chips into a small pot and put on LOW. This is important as in if you heated the chips on high it would go by faster but you might get clumps of chocolate, and we don't want that.
We used M&M minis. 0_0 so. mr. cute.
Also Sour apple candy corn.
(To be honest, not my favorite)
The finished project!!!
In the end we had to much to consume while our taste buds OD'd we took a break for about a minute or two. Then we were back in the game! Thanks family for the hard work and Fun times!
Anthony,(nephew) Aunt Meredith,(auntie Mer) and shelby(little sister) Thanks guys! |
