IT'S RAINING!!!!! Autumn is my Favorite time of the year. The leaves are those beautiful and the clouds are getting all stormy and dark...I love it. I'm wearing my sweater right now i'm tryin to get that warm feeling goin on. So how about a classic "Spaghetti." I have not gone hunting yet so no meat just yet. My mother was going to make dinner but I am doing it so she can sleep. (And maybe get on her good side 'cause I forgot to take the bin out to the curb...shh) So I was a-look-in in the shelf when we saw Rotini pasta and Spaghetti sauce! YAHTZEE!!!

 Ingredients

*We're goin life style right now so if you want to use whatever you have in your house go for it, this is just mostly for my school project*

You will need:

  • one bag of pasta
  • one jar or can of pasta sauce (size depends on how much pasta you have)
Honestly that's all it takes. I took about 6 cups of water and placed it in large pot on high...on the oven top for those who don't know.
When the water comes to a rolling boil add the pasta.
You may cook to whatever tenderness you desire.
It shouldn't take long, are family really dislikes hard pasta, they much prefer it tenderer than anything else.
Next take your sauce and pour it either in a sauce pan or slow cooker on the side and start heating that sucker up!
About halfway through the cooking process my sister say a pack of cherry gelatin out on the table. "I want to make jello!"
She shouts and so jello is added as the dessert.
Not at all challenging.
Simply follow the directions on the box.
All types vary from box to box.
place finished project in fridge to cool.
If your pasta is done along with your sauce throw 'em together! and server right there on the stove.
(make sure to turn the heat to low/simmer)

When the jello is done pull out and with a knife cut into cubs in its dish then turn upside down over bowl. Serve. Enjoy.

Well I am sorry to inform my millions of viewers that My Ipod touch was stolen, so until I get around to getting that back my posts will be picture less.

Last Wednesday my brother-in-law was going to have his aunt and uncle over. Sadly my mother had already made dinner so I got to thinking what about an after meal snack. Sorta like a bowl of M&Ms on the coffee table idea.

So It was off to the store the weapons of choice

  • ruffly 2 handfuls of raspberries
  • 1 bag of white chocolate chips*
  • 1 bag of plain chocolate chips*
  • yogurt. I chose 2 types strawberry and vanilla*
*I didn't have a whole lot of money at the second so no name brand foods this time*

Back at the fortress (ma' house) we prepeir for battle

You will need

  1. A metal pan
  2. sandwich bags
  3. "A FREEZER & FRIDGE"
  4. snack bowls for finished project.

First get out your pan, sandwich bags, and yogurt out.
place a couple scoops of yogurt into the bag and twist top. (sorta like you going to decorate a cake with piped frosting)

Cut a corner of the bag and proceed to squeeze out quarter sized amounts onto your pan. do as much as you like I did probably around one to one hundred and fifty dots.

HURRY NOW! TO THE FREEZER!!!!

I would suggest making these little guys 2 ta' 3 hours ahead of time for some reason not all of mine froze by the time our guests arrived

When you have left your freezer to its handy work you can start preparing for your next dish.

This one is not that hard to be honest just a hassle but worth it in the end.

Grab your chips and raspberries. For this dish its quit simple. Take the pointy side of your chips and stick it into the top of the raspberries. Easy. I alternated between white and plain chocolate chips.

Place finished master piece into desired bowl. And throw that bowl into the fridge from across the room.

Right before guests arrive check on your yogurt if the little guys are all frozen toss em' in a bowl and place in the freezer again. bring out when you feel the time is right.

Caramel Apples

The date is 10/3/2012 meaning it's October. The weather outside is not yet frightful and a fire would be nice, if it got cold outside, but hey who's complaining? October is the month of caramel. So as an old time favorite, we are doing Caramel Apples.

  • Ingredients

  • As many apples as desired (we did 7) cut with apple cutter into 8 slices
  • 2 bags of "KRAFT CARAMEL TRADITIONAL"
  • 1 bag of "TOLL HOUSE SEMI SWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS
  • peanuts
  • candy

  • To start unwrap all of your caramel candies and place them on stove, heat until melted. While that's happening cut your apples into slices using a knife or apple slicer!
Next line your working space with wax paper and start working. use a fork to pierce an apple wedge and either dunk it into the melted caramel or get your fork into that carmel and drizzle it all over the apples. Place apples on wax paper.
Now we wait 5 minutes for the caramel to get slightly harder on the apples....ugh.... no worries though there is something for you to do!!! Quickly now! Back to the stove!
Empty the bag of chocolate chips into a small pot and put on LOW. This is important as in if you heated the chips on high it would go by faster but you might get clumps of chocolate, and we don't want that.

When your chips have melted and it's all drippy and gooey take the pot and spoon over to the apples and decorate, design, dance.....

We used M&M minis. 0_0 so. mr. cute.

    Also Sour apple candy corn.
(To be honest, not my favorite)

    The finished project!!!
In the end we had to much to consume while our taste buds OD'd we took a break for about a minute or two. Then we were back in the game! Thanks family for the hard work and Fun times!
    Anthony,(nephew) Aunt Meredith,(auntie Mer) and shelby(little sister)
    Thanks guys!

    About Me!

My name is Nicolas. My friends call me Nic, but you can call me Nic. I’m 18 years old. I live in Colorado. I’m a senior in high school and my favorite food is a blueberry bagel with cream cheese. I am creating this blog as an assignment in school but I intend to carry it on with me through college. The intent on this blog is for me to try different recipes and cooking ideas from the INTERNET and to come up with whatever I can in my cupboard to eat. I would extremely appreciate your ideas for what I should try, whether it’s a complicated  soufflĂ© or a pb&j. Some weeks might be different in a way that I'm learning from others or I just don't have money...or time....or food. I will try to keep on top of this blog seeing as how I am a cook at Chilis by night and a senior student by day and my weekends are stacked so I will do my best! Godspeed!

    AND LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!
